What to Know About Planning and Paying for a Trip
Jet-It-Together members can join trips that are being planned by other members or propose new trips that are open for other members to join. You will not be charged for a trip until it is finalized, and you have agreed to the price you will pay for your portion of the total trip cost. If no other members want to join your trip, you have the option to book the whole plane or cancel the proposed trip.
When you agree to the terms of the trip, you pay for your portion of the shared charter jet travel. If you do not agree to the price, you are under no obligation to accept it. Your payment is required within 24 hours after you have agreed to the price and have received confirmation from Jet-It-Together that the trip has been scheduled for travel.
Steps for Planning Your Jet-It-Together Trip
Once you have signed in and created a membership account, you can begin
to plan your first Jet-It-Together trip. Building a trip is easy.
- Sign in to the Jet-It-Together website with your user name and password.
- Use the SEARCH feature, found under the TRIP PLANNING menu to find existing Jet-It-Together trips to join or to create a new trip.
- If a trip matches your requirements, complete the non-binding trip reservation form.
- To create a new trip, go to PLAN A TRIP, found under the TRIP PLANNING
menu.
- Your newly created trip then becomes available for other members
to join, particularly to those members who have expressed
an interest in a similar itinerary. When enough members have joined a trip to cover the estimated cost of the trip, Jet-It-Together will negotiate the exact cost of the trip with selected operators.
- Jet-It-Together will then contact you to confirm the trip and to obtain credit card payment information. You pay the agreed upon amount within 24 hours of receiving notification from Jet-It-Together that the
trip is confirmed.
Negotiating Best Price Flights
Jet-It-Together experts negotiate rates based upon the number of people, trip profile and market considerations. A net rate for the private charter is negotiated on behalf of members. Any additional onboard costs for items such as phone or catering will be charged directly by the operator to the individual who incurs incidental charges.
The final cost for each member will be prorated based on the amount that the member has agreed to pay, the final number of travelers who have joined the trip, and the negotiated cost of the trip. The group trip will not be scheduled if there are not enough travelers to cover the cost of the trip. Jet-It-Together will be happy to accommodate travelers who wish to charter an entire plane, without sharing the plane with other travelers, or, commit to the entire plane and then accept additional members who agree to pay a portion of the cost, thereby lowering their cost for the trip.
